Advanced school on ICT for Future Energy Systems

Public administrations, enterprises and citizens are increasingly going green and are looking to the information technology as the way to reduce energy consumption and to become more environmentally responsible in all human activities. In particular reducing buildings overall energy consumption, providing smarter power grids and optimizing industrial processes are certainly some of the major efforts. Distributed and pervasive sensing, monitoring and control will play a key role in achieving this goal and will pose novel research challenges in the development of distributed applications that must integrate aspects related to generation, storage, distribution and efficient use of energy sources.

The goals of the school are to:

  • Survey the most relevant research domains;
  • Present various perspectives and underlying technologies;
  • Identify the most important challenges and research themes;
  • Interact with distinguished scholars and establish contacts that may lead to research collaborations in the future.

The intended audience consists of post-graduate students, PhD students, and young researchers from universities and industrial laboratories around the world.

In the download box you will find the program of the school and information about registration and fees.
