Important NOTES about author registration fees
NOTE 1: for authors with multiple accepted papers: one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers with an extra charge of 100 $ for each paper in excess of 1 (i.e. +100 $ for two papers and +200 $ for three papers)
NOTE 2: short papers must be limited in length to four (4) pages; full papers are generally limited to six (6) pages, but two (2) additional pages are allowed with an extra fee of 100 $ per-page

Important NOTES about non-author (and co-author) registration fees
NOTE 1: student registration fees cannot be used to cover the publication of an accepted paper. If the author covering the paper publication is a student, he/she has to pay the full member or non-member fee, and follow the instructions for
Visa letters
If you need an invitation letter for a Schengen visa application, you may ask for the letter in the registration website. In this case, please collect the following information:
- name
- surname
- passport number
- birth date
- role or position at your institution (e.g. PhD Student or Professor)
- institution address
- hotel reservation or hotel name and address in Trento
Please note that it is IEEE’s policy to issue letters only to Speakers, Committee Members and Attendees who paid their registration fee properly.
The letter will be prepared and sent to the applicant within a few days after the registration.
Registration procedure
The registrations to the IEEE Second International Smart Cities Conference (ISC2) are open.
Before starting the registration procedure please collect and keep ready the following information:
- all administrative data of your Institution, and in particular, complete billing address and VAT number (if needed)
- IEEE membership number (if available)
- the 10-digit EDAS numbers of up to 3 accepted papers covered by a single registration (if available)
- a valid credit card (if available)

Payment will be possible through either credit cards or bank transfers. Please consider that a 20 $ service fee will be added to registration total for each bank transfer.
Any accepted paper will be published in the Proceedings only if the full member or non-member registration payment for one of the authors is received and correctly processed by 14 July 2016.
Please note that no refunds are possible for cancellations after 26 August 2016.
Important NOTES about registration procedure
NOTE 1: Attendees whose registration has to be paid via wire transfer directly by their own administrations are invited to register immediately and to check the document they need to perform the payment. Some administrations may require an official invoice to perform the payment. In this case, please contact isc2-2016-registration@unitn.it. Authors of accepted papers that belong to this category are allowed to use their confirmation code in EDAS to upload the camera-ready version even if the payment procedure is still in progress.
NOTE 2: The invoice will be issued by IEEE International LLC and NOT by the University of Trento. For Italian Public Institution only: since IEEE International does not have a fixed establishment in Italy, no electronic invoice (fattura elettronica) can be issued.
NOTE 3: On-site registrations are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. However, if strictly needed, they can be performed ONLY by credit card. Cash, cheques, wire transfers and debit cards CANNOT be accepted.
