How to reach Trento

By car or coach
You can reach Trento on the following roads: Strada Statale dell'Abetone e del Brennero; Autostrada del Brennero - A22 motorway, phone no. (+39) 0461 980085; Superstrada della Valsugana for those coming from Venice, and Strada Statale 45 bis (Gardesana Occidentale), for those coming from Brescia.
By train
Two main lines reach Trento: the Brennero line (connecting to Rome to the south, and Innsbruck and northern Europe to the north) and the Valsugana line to Venice. Timetable details from Ferrovie dello Stato.
A local train line connects Trento with Valle di Non (Ferrovia Trento-Malé).
By plane
The following airports are the closest to Trento:

Venezia Marco Polo - 125 km
Milano Linate - 245 km
Bolzano - 60 km.
Various motorways allow fast travelling time to the airports.

Local transports
Trento has an efficient urban transport system (yellow/red buses) run by Atesina. Extra urban buses are run by the same firm and are blue. If you visit the Atesina office at the main railway station, you can pick up a free timetable “Guida ai trasporti del Trentino”. Taxis can be caught anywhere in town or booked by phone - phone no. (+39) 0461 930002. While Levico is a small village and everything is reachable by walking. Levico is well connected to Trento both by bus and by local railways.

Innsbruck also has excellent urban transports. One-trip bus ticket costs € 1,60, but you can also buy a daily ticket at € 3,40 or a weekly ticket at  € 10.70. Note however that the accommodation centre is five minutes walk from the University location and the city centre.
