This short seminar is concerned with some basic notions related to copyright issues, quotations, images, and deposit of the PhD thesis in the online archive. The purpose is to made Doctoral candidates well aware of the compulsory steps to be done at the end of the programme in order to get the Diploma, and of the main advantages and benefits of Open Access archiving for PhD students and young researchers in terms of visibility and impact.

The seminar is primarily intended for PhD students who are to defend their thesis in the next months (February-April 2013) and for those who are in the last year of the programme. Doctoral students in the previous years of the programme may also be admitted but they will not be given priority.
