CIMeC Colloquium Series, Group Seminars and Research Seminars

The CIMeC Colloquium Series is an annual set of invited talks given by leading researchers in the mind/brain sciences, both from Italy and abroad, aimed principally at our PhD Students. Given the multi-disciplinary backgrounds of the CIMeC students and researchers, the colloquia are aimed at a general scientific level rather than at a more specialized audience. For school credit, all first and second year students participate in a journal club organized by the Course Coordinator, and, on rotation, lead one of the journal club discussions prior to the Colloquium. Where: Palazzo Fedrigotti, Conference Room 1st floor, Corso Bettini 31, Rovereto

Group Seminars currently have as primary objective to improve the PhD students' independent study, problem-solving, research, reading and oral presentation under the supervision of researchers and professors. Another aim of these seminars is gathering people from different fields interested in a common topic.

Research seminars are lead by invited speakers on topic-specific areas and serve as a means for in-depth analysis and are intended for those CIMeC PhD students in the particular research area of each seminar.
