Algebre di Lie, Gruppi, Crittografia e Codici
Research topics
In recent years we have studied classes of infinite-dimensional, graded Lie algebras, usually over fields of prime characteristic. These classes are defined by narrowness conditions; in particular, the homogeneous components have bounded dimension. Some of these algebras (or extensions thereof) admit a finite presentation, and can be realized as positive parts of twisted loop algebras of finite-dimensional, simple modular Lie algebras. Other algebras are wilder. We study related problems, like non-singular derivations and exponentials of derivations.
Recently we has started working in algebraic cryptography. We are studying permutation groups generated by round functions of symmetric cryptosystems.
