University budget

The University budget is made of accounting documents that keep check on the economic, capital and financial situation of the University, both as regards estimated and final costs. It gives information about the activities foreseen (estimated) and carried out (final costs).

The public accounting documents, as defined by the University regulation for finance and accountability, are issued by the University and are the University's forward budget and final balance. The final balance is an integral part of the Annual Report.

The documents are:

Income statement
It states the costs and revenue of the activities of an accounting period. It is written according to a deduction method that is coherent with the information finalities of the budget.

Balance sheet (or assets of the University)
It exposes the consistency of the active and passive elements at the end of an accounting period. It is written by comparing liabilities and net worth. Their representation determines the consistency of the net worth.

Financial report
It summarizes the relations between sources and use of financial resources for effect of the financial variations of that period. It highlights the liquidity, meaning the increase and use of liquidity. It is written starting from budgetary period 2009. 
Integrative report
It offers complementary information to that already reported in the documents described above. This information is necessary to give a correct overview of the situation and of the economic trend as well as to illustrate the evaluation criteria adopted, both for the estimate as for the final costs.
