Canteens

In TRENTO there are five university restaurants: three are located in the city centre (Tomaso Gar, XXIV Maggio and  S. Margherita) and two are on the outskirts of Trento, on the hill. There are also two cafeterias at the Faculty of Engineering and at FBK. In total, there are about  one thousand seats. There are different menus to choose from: full meal, small meals and snacks.

University restaurants are open from Monday to Sunday and closing days rotate on Saturday and Sunday.

To have a meal in on of the university restaurants you must have a student's card; you can apply for it at the students' Info desk at the Opera Universitaria. The card is free for all students enrolled at the University of Trento. You can collect your student card at the Sportello Info mense of the Opera Universitaria, in via Zanella, 1 or at the Studentato San Bartolameo, in via della Malpensada, 90 in Trento.

In ROVERETO, students with a student card can have lunch and have dinner at Ristorante Tandem, at the old folk's home (casa di soggiorno per anziani), which is open all year round from Monday to Sunday from 11.30 to 13.30 and from 18.30 till 19.30. A full meal costs 4,40 euro and a small meal costs 3,90 euro, the snack costs 2.60 euro.

Students can always have lunch at Ristorante Gilda (via Matteo del Ben) from Monday to Friday in the restaurant's opening hours and in the bar-cafeteria Le Arti del MART (corso Bettini) where a full meal costs 4,40 euro.

Students with food allergies and intolerances can ask the checkout clerks for information about the menus suitable to their needs.
