Goals:
An in-depth knowledge of literary history and theory (genres, literary forms and styles) in the context of foreign languages and literatures.
In particular our Doctoral School aims at the following educational goals:
a) To provide students with the skills needed to perform highly qualified research activities in the fields of comparative literature and linguistics for literary purposes. Skills will be developed in an interdisciplinary perspective, on the basis of the learner’s previously acquired abilities in the cognitive areas of the Department of Literary Studies, Linguistics and Philology, and according to the student’s own interests.
b) To establish a research degree course designed to produce young scholars, able to successfully pursue research programs in literary theory and in comparative literature, and to use their skills in the academic field as well as in the field of contemporary communication and publishing.
