Equal Opportunities Committee

The Equal Opportunities Committee (Comitato Pari Opportunità CPO) aims at encouraging equal job opportunities for women and men and at assuring equal dignity in all positions to all the represented categories, by avoiding every form of discrimination which can hinder its full realization.
The Committee is a reference point not only for women but for the whole staff and is ready to listen to the needs of everyone.

The Equal Opportunities Committee of the University of Trento was officially established in January 2005; it is composed of representatives of the technical and administrative staff.

The specific duties of the Committee are:

• to promote positive actions that assure equal opportunities in work and study and to eliminate the disparities involving women in education and training, in the  access to employment and in advacing in work;
• to avoid all forms of discrimination which can hinder the realization of equal opportunities in employment and education;
• to organize initiatives that gather and spread information around the whole University that are related to all forms of existing discriminations and to their removal.
