During the academic year CIAL organises the language examinations for the first and/or second language for all the Faculties of the University of Trento. Students must enrol for the examination although how you enrol depends on your faculty.
The examinations are held at the Faculties or at CIAL, depending on the examination.

To find out about the content of the examination and when it is held, please look at your faculty programme (available in Italian only) in the Guidelines.

From this page you can enrol for the following examinations:

• Online language examinations for levels A1b, A2, B1 and B2. The online examinations are held throughout the academic year and enrolments generally open 90 days before the date of the examination;
• Entry test (Faculty of Engineering).

The examinations are aimed solely at students doing their three-year undergraduate Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate Master’s degree who still have to pass a language examination as part of their degree course.

At CIAL you can take the language examinations required by your Faculty.
Most of the language exams are computerized tests - see the list below - and enrolment is compulsory.

Notice for students who have to enrol through the Esse3 system:
Before you enrol, the Esse3 examination code for the examination you wish to enrol for must be written in your Esse3 online examination record book. The list of examination codes is given in the guides above.

ENROLMENT FOR THE ONLINE EXAMINATIONS
To enrol for the online language examinations you have to go to “SERVIZI ONLINE” and log in using your University login name and password. You will also need your login name and password when you do the examination.
Please note that you must bring a valid identity document to the examination (passport, driver’s licence (with photograph), identity card).
