CIAL can offer students who for various reasons are unable to attend traditional, classroom-based courses the possibility of following language courses online with innovative, interactive software.

Having acquired a login name and password from the Secretary’s Office at CIAL, students are then free to choose both when they study the language and where (studying via the Internet at home as well as at any of the University’s computer terminals).

For the entire period of online learning, students will be able to contact one of CIAL’s native speaker tutors, either by email or in person. The tutor will be available to give advice and reply to questions about the language.

Enrolments

CIAL’s online courses are for students, administrative staff of the university, PhD students, Master’s students, scholarship students, researchers and teaching staff of the University of Trento.

People not listed above can only access these courses if they are already attending a CIAL course.

Staff of affiliated bodies can normally only access the English courses; they can access courses in other languages only if they are already attending a CIAL course.

Please note that in order to enrol (or to pay if enrolment is made online) Master’s students, scholarship students and researchers on fixed-term contracts and staff of affiliated bodies must show a document issued by the University attesting their status. This document can be handed into to the CIAL Secretary’s Office at the moment of enrolment or, if enrolment is made online, sent by fax to 0461-282900 together with the bank transfer receipt (if payment is made by bank transfer).,

Password for the online language courses
A password is needed for the online language courses, which can be acquired in one of the following ways:
1. by going to the Servizi online site (only available in Italian).Students have to enter their University login name and password; other people will need to get a password from CIAL to log in. To ask for a password you can write an email to the address given in the “Contacts” box on the right of the screen, giving your name, surname, place and date of birth, residence for tax purposes, taxpayer identification number and a phone number.
2. for non-students only: by going to the CIAL Secretary’s Office during opening hours: on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.00 to 12.00; on Wednesdayeven from 14.00 to 16.00. (except on public holidays).

English courses
The password is valid for three months.
Participants must print off a copy of the contract in which they accept the terms and conditions of the online courses (available in the “Download” section of the screen). The signed contract can be handed in to the CIAL Secretary’s Office when paying, or sent by fax to 0461/282900, along with proof of payment (if paying by bank transfer) and a copy of an identity document.
Payment will only be considered valid upon receipt of a completed and signed copy of the contract. 
The password will be sent by email (for students of the University of Trento their University email address will be used) or it can be picked up from the CIAL Secretary’s Office upon presentation of a valid identity document. 
The online course costs € 20.

French and Italian courses
The password to access the online language learning packages is available while places last. The password will be sent by email to people enrolled on the courses within two weeks (for students of the University of Trento their University email address will be used). The password is valid for 1 year.

The Italian online course costs €30.
The French online course costs €45.
