The Center
The CIMeC is composed of various interdisciplinary laboratories which are located in the university town of Rovereto, in Corso Bettini 31, and in Mattarello, a few kilometers from Trento.
At this time CIMeC has 35 full-time researchers, 38 fellows and post-docs and the students of the “Cognitive and Brain Sciences” doctoral school, 6 administrators and 12 medical and information technology technicians.
The center is composed of five interdisciplinary labs: the Functional Neuroimaging Lab (LNiF), the Center of Neurocognitive Rehabilitation (CeRiN), the Language Interaction and Computation Lab (CLIC), the Experimental Psychiology Labs (EPL) and the Animal Cognition and Comparative Neuroscience Lab (ACN).
Thanks to a collaboration with the Bruno Kessler Foundation, two other labs have become part of the CIMeC : the Computational Cognition Lab (CCL) and the NeuroInformatics Lab (NILab). Thanks to a collaboration with the Research and Innovation Centre of the Edmund Mach Foundation, another joint lab has been created: the Insect Neurobiology and Neuroecology laboratory (INN Lab).
The close integration of the center’s core scientific, educational, and clinical programs fosters a dynamic multidisciplinary environment for research in cognitive neuroscience. The Center maintains strong ties with other groups at the University of Trento, including researchers in the Cognitive Science Laboratory.
