Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Lab

This lab is active since November 2008.In this setting we investigate normal cerebral function. The fields that are currently investigated are: motor control, language, social cognition and emotion, vision and memory. The head of the Lab is Dr. Luigi Cattaneo.

Current Equipment includes

• one fixed TMS stimulator: a Magventure (MagPro x100) multimodal stimulator
• A Magstim Bistim Unit.
• A TMS Neuronavigator (Zebris system - BrainVoyager)
• A 4-channel EMG amplifier system and a 4-channel analog-to-digital converter unit (both Cambridge Electronic Design – CED)
• A constant current electrical stimulator (Digitimer DS7AH)
• Various coils
