Stefano Fusi

Prof. Fusi has been at CIMeC from July 2008 until the end of September 2008. His research involves studying the neural basis and computational aspects of rule representation in the brain. William Harbaugh

Professor Harbaugh is an economist from the University of Oregon. He has used economic experiments to show that economic models of optimizing behavior can be useful for characterizing children's behavior. He has also written theoretical and empirical papers on risky decision making. His most recent work uses fMRI to study how people feel about paying taxes, and why they (sometimes!) give money away to charitable causes. He has been working at CIMEC with Giorgio Coricelli and his research group.

Lourens Waldorp

Lourens Waldorp is assistant professor at the Department of Psychological Methods at the University of Amsterdam. His research concerns statistical hypothesis testing, especially in the neurosciences. For example, in fMRI the problem is to cope with thousands of multiple tests without declaring truely nonactive regions active. Other interests are graphical models and their use in psychology. In general, many topics in (multivariate) statistics are of interest, like (non)linear regression and asymptotic statistics. For more information about him, visit his webpage.
