Research centers and Laboratories

CIRM: The "Centro Internazionale per la Ricerca Matematica" conducts seminars and meetings regarding mathematics research. Recently, the center set up a new range of activities with the intention of stimulating the interaction between the mathematical research community of the Trento area and the European and international mathematical community.

Multimedia Geometry Group: is an interdisciplinary group which aims to study information retrieval exploiting geometrical feature extraction techniques.

OrientaMAT: ricerca e sviluppo di software e materiale on-line per migliorare la preparazione, in particolare matematica, degli studenti che entrano all'università.

Indam: Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica "Francesco Severi", Unità di Ricerca con sede a Trento.

Matematita: an interuniversitary center of research for the communications and the informal learning of mathematics. Local unity of Trento.

Laboratory of mathematics didactics and communication: the laboratory is in the new building (near rooms 20 and 21). In the laboratory we carry out research and experimentation activities on didactic methodologies for maths teaching and learning and we produce material, texts, and software for this reason.
Students can work in this laboratory for an internship or for their thesis and Doctoral studies.
