Candidates apply to one of two programmes in Cognitive and Brain Sciences: Cognitive Neurosciences and Language, Interaction and Computation. Admission to the programmes is open to all candidates interested in research areas of the CIMeC, regardless of ethnicity, nationality, gender, or age. Applicants must have an Italian university degree or an equivalent degree qualification which allows for admission to a doctoral programme in the country where the degree was obtained. There is one application deadline for this year's new class.

** As far as the oral examination is concerned, the commission will consider the clearness of the presentation, the English proficiency, the knowledge of the issues concerning the research project presented, topic-specific grant preferences chosen and finally the synthesis capacity.
This year applicants are asked to fill out a Research Statement (template available in the online application) where they are asked to provide information relevant to the research they are interested in pursuing at the CIMeC.
