TAKE A LOOK AT THE
The goal of the Doctoral Programme in Sociology and Social research is to provide an advanced education that will qualify its alumni for high-level positions in academia, as well as the public and private sector, conducting both basic and applied research.
In particular, the Doctoral Programme in Sociology and Social Research aims to educate professionals that will be able to in apply their knowledge in an interdisciplinary fashion, based on the education they acquired during this post-graduate programme in the various areas covered by the department and the faculty of sociology. i.e.: epistemology of the social sciences; sociological theory; stratification and social inequality in relation to gender, cohort and education; comparative welfare systems and their evolution; social networks; social and political change, the sociology of labour markets and the evolution of employment systems and markets in a comparative perspective; marginalization of employment relations, sociology of migration; sociology and demographics of the family; analysis of value changes and of political behaviour, sociology of organizations.
