Selection procedures

Admission to the School is on a competitive basis.

The procedure consists of two stages and a third stage for the Doctoral Programme in Sociology and Social Research.

In the first stage a shortlist of candidates is produced on the basis of the assessment of their curriculum, the research proposal and the reference letters.

Shortlisted candidates to the Doctoral Programmes in Economics and Management and in Local Development and Global Dynamics will be asked to take part in an interview in Trento.

Applicants to the Doctoral programme in Sociology and Social Research before the interview will, in addition, be asked to sit a multiple choice exam on methods for social science research.

Non-Italian candidates may be interviewed by phone or videoconference.
