Two-years Master’s courses in English

Non-EU citizens living abroad

Admission to a Master's course in English is selective. Prospective candidates must apply online in January and March 2013.

Each candidate is required to submit a complete online application package, which provides the university with fundamental information and allows the Admissions Committee to evaluate candidates according to their proficiency, as well as on the potential for the further development of their skills.

SELECTED CANDIDATES

The Welcome Office and the Master Manager will provide succesful candidates with pre-arrival detailed information about necessary steps to fulfil regarding visa, scholarship, accommodation, and pre-enrolment ministerial procedures described herender.


FROM MAY 2013 UNTIL THE DEADLINE DECIDED BY EACH ITALIAN DIPLOMATIC REPRESENTATION

Candidates are required to contact the relevant Italian diplomatic Representation in their country of residence in order to pre-enrol by personnally submitting the following documents:

a) pre-enrolment form in two original copies (Form A: “Pre-enrolment application for non-EU citizens resident abroad");
b) two passport-sized pictures, one of which shall be signed by the candidate;
c) original of the University degree or educational qualification which allows the candidate to access a two-year Master's course. This certificate must have already been legalized by the relevant authority of the country where it was issued or with Apostille stamp, and officially translated into Italian;
d) official certificate issued by the foreign academic Institution with the list of all the exams you passed;
e) the admission letter (the Italian version) sent by the Welcome Office.

The Italian diplomatic Representation will:

  1. legalize the Italian translation of the University degree and make it official;
  2. issue the declaration of value of the University degree necessary for the final enrolment;
  3. authenticate one of the two pictures. 

NOTE: The original diploma and the Declaration of value are not required by the University of Trento in case you have a Diploma Supplement issued in English by the sending University (according to the EC, Europe Council and Unesco rules – see instruction in the file attached below) based in one of the following countries*:

Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria,  Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vatican City State, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Island, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Moldova, Norway, Holland, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Republic of Macedonia (ex-Yugoslavia), Slovakia Republic, Romania,  Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary.

*These countries adhered to the European Higher Education Area

AUGUST

The Welcome Office will confirm to the Italian Embassies the admission of the candidate by the beginning of August 2013 and, immediately after, the candidate shall contact again the Italian Embassies in order to apply for the study visa.
The candidate shall produce the following:

  • proof of economic means (amounting to euro 417,30 per month for the whole academic year). NOTE: see Costs of Living for more detailed information on the usual mean expenses;
  • proof of health insurance (for emergencies and urgent hospitalisation) expiring not earlier than 31st December 2013;
  • proof of confirmation that the candidated booked an accommodation. NOTE: the candidate must book at least 30 days in advance
  • the admission letter (the Italian version) sent by the Welcome Office.

SCHOLARSHIP

In order to apply for the benefits provided by the Opera Universitaria - University Guild (scholarship, tuition waiver, addommodation at discounted price), as well as to calculate the amount of fees you have to pay in case you were not entitled to a scholarship, the candidate shall follow the procedure detailed hereunder.

  1. If the candidate was admitted to the Master's programme, he/she shall prepare the all documents as detailed in the Dowloads below (see "Documentation for Opera revenues abroad") and follow the instructions that will be provided by the beginning of May 2013;
  2. The candidate shall submit the complete document package in original to the Opera Universitaria within the very first days of September 2013 (deadline yet to be confirmed).
