Merit award
Deserving students are awarded a money amount at the end of their university career. The amount is proportionate to the score obtained by the student in the following areas:
- time needed to graduate, with reference to the number of months since enrolment (maximum 25 points);
- the number of credits obtained during the first year in comparison to the to the mean number obtained by students attending the course (maximum 30 points);
- the final mark achieved in comparison to the mean number of points obtained by students attending the same course (maximum 30 points);
- time spent abroad during the course (maximum 25 points, 35 for students who attended a double degree);
- other specific merit requirements decided by each Faculty (maximum 10 points).
The award can vary from a minimum of 500 € to a maximum of 5.000 € and it is paid within six months since graduation. In order to compete for the merit award, students must fulfil the following prerequisites:
- they must start their career at the University of Trento during academic year 2008-2009;
- they must begin and complete at the University of Trento the course they enrol into;
- they must not be foreign students taking part in International mobility programmes (LLP-Erasmus, LLP-Leonardo da Vinci, double degree);

they must graduate within the following time limits:
< 54 months for Undergraduate courses
< 42 months for two-year Master's courses
< 78 months for five-year Master's courses
