UNI.Sport

University sport events are promoted through the new university network of sport services and facilities called UNI.Sport.

The project is the result of an agreement between the University of Trento and the Opera Universitaria (University Guild) with the collaboration of the Centro Universitario Sportivo (CUS). It originates from the idea that practicing sports at university is not just considered a way to feel good and have fun, but it’s also an occasion to learn and develop research activities.

Through UNI.Sport, the University of Trento intends to focus on sports by putting sports among key services for students and making a distinction between competitive sport and regular, everyday sport, also practiced to socialize. The membership card gives students the chance to access sport facilities of the Opera Universitaria and especially at the San Bartolameo students’ residence (which include two gyms with a wide fitness area, two squash courts, five-player football pitch, a volleyball and a basketball court on synthetic grass, a badminton court), a boat center on the lake of Caldonazzo, a tennis center and a gliding center.

The card also grants several discounts thanks to special agreements with gyms, sports centers, swimming pools, skiing facilities all over the provincial territory and the opportunity to take part in courses, events, tournaments, organized by UNI.Sport/CUS as well as a CUS Trento card with insurance coverage. The Facoltiadi, a multi-sports competition between the various Faculties in which both students and professors take part, is one of the events promoted by CUS each year.
