Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) - Erasmus
The European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) - Erasmus Programme allows undergraduate students enrolled in the University of Trento to apply for financial support to study abroad for courses, examinations, preparing a thesis at a university in one of the 27 participating EU countries as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey and Croatia. Undergraduate students who receive a grant to study in a country where the language is less taught and less widely used can, before the start of their studies, attend an Erasmus Intensive Language Course (EILC) in the destined country. These courses, which may last for up to one month, are scheduled in two calendar sessions: Summer – July, August and September for Erasmus students attending the first semester of a full academic year and Winter - January and February 2013 for second semester Erasmus students.
As well as the ‘standard’ mobility the Erasmus Programme also enables students to take part in Intensive Programmes (IP). An IP entails a short study period of about ten days and brings together students and teaching staff from higher education institutions of at least three different participating countries with the aim to encourage teaching of specialist subjects and allow those attending to benefit from enhanced learning and teaching environments supported by EU grants.
UNITN guarantees full academic recognition of the studies undertaken abroad through ECTS credits or activity recorded in the Diploma Supplement as part of the student curricula.
