EU-Canada Cooperation Programme in Higher Education, Training and Youth (2006-2013)

EU-Canada is a cultural exchange Programme financed by the European Commission and the Canadian Government. It aims at promoting the common interaction between European and Canadian citizens for the improvement of knowledge and learning of the institutional, cultural and language systems of the countries involved in the Project. It also intends to foster the quality of Human Resources in Europe and in Canada, to facilitate the acquisition of the expertise necessary to face the global economic system based on knowledge

The Programme includes 3 actions: Action 1, Higher education and training, supports Higher Education and Training Institutions for the fulfillment of joint curricula called “Transatlantic Exchange Partnership” (TEP) which provides: enrichment of curricula and students exchange programs with the acknowledgement of credits and international stages.

Ongoing projects

The EU-Canada Project funding entails mobility scholarships (700/800 €/month) to students enrolled at the University of Trento interested in spending a period of study of at least 4 months in a Canadian University Partner plus the reimbursement of travel expenses (up to 1000 €).

Within the EU-Canada programme, Action 1, the University of Trento participates in two projects:

CELAB Project (Regional and Global Governance: Canada and the European Union as Laboratories - in Italian), concerning the School of International Studies.

CSEN Project (Civil Society Educational Network - in Italian), concerning the Faculties of Economics and Sociology.

The mobility proposal is targeted to EU Citizens. Non-EU Citizens must be have resided in an EU Country for 3 years for reasons different from for study reasons.
