In last the ten years we have seen to a real revolution in the scientific world, with the birth of what it is commonly called “new Biology”. Important methodological progress have abruptly changed the outlook of the new biology. The ability of “reading” the cells (the availability of genomic sequences of many species and the possibility to measure in mass the macromolecular levels of expression and interactions); the ability of “writing” (advances of genetic engineering, which are carrying to the birth of a new discipline, the so-called synthetic biology); and finally the interpretation, which is based more and more on computerized management of a great number of data. 

The mix of these new techniques, besides to greatly contribute to the advance of knowing the mechanisms of functioning and control of the biological systems, enables the development of numerous related applications with the use of cells or of theirs components in various environments, like biomedicine, the environmental sustainability , renewable energies, food and pharmaceutical industry. 
All in all the new biology has become the fundamental motor of the scientific-technological change of the new century, with deep and long-lasting impact on the daily life of all of us. 
The course of the 3-year bachelor in Sciences and Biomolecular Technologies establishes a solid base in order to fly in this fascinating world. The student will be immediately projected in the center of the new biology, and next to the disciplines that are edging it.
Thanks to a robust laboratory program, the student will quickly touch with his hands the core of the matter. He will get ready to mature the next moves that will carry him in research private and/or public laboratories, in hospital laboratories, in environmental research centers, or in the field of the scientific dissemination. 

 In any case being a qualified professional of  the “science of life”, that it is alive today as never before.
