The Joint African Master Programme (JAMP) in Comparative Local Development is a fully interdisciplinary programme comprising the application of Economics, Law, Sociology and Political Science to the analysis of Local Development.
The main objective of JAMP is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills for introducing, supporting and co-ordinating processes of change and transformation at the local level. The focus of the programme is local development, with the following characteristics: public, private and non-governmental actors are the fundamental agents; social stability and economic prosperity are pursued, in conformity with the African and European standards and best practice.
Upon the successful completion of the programme’s activities, the Academic Authorities of the organising institutions will award the Joint Degree “Joint African Master in Comparative Local Development", which corresponds to the following, in each of the partner countries:
- Italy: I level Masters degree according to the DM 509/99 art. 3, comma 9 and subsequent modifications;
- Namibia: Master’s Degree;
- South Africa: M Tech: Comparative Local Development at NQF Level 8;
- Mozambique: MA Comparative Local Development.
