Plans of study a.y. 2012-13

Students have to fill out their individual study plan online by logging into the “Area Riservata” of the Esse3 system.

For the current academic year 2012-13 students must complete the online Study Plan between 5 and 30 November 2012.

First Year students have to choose;

  1. One of three Foreign Language Workshops (French, Spanish or German)
  2. An elective course worth at least 6 credits

The elective course should be relevant to the chosen programme of study. It can be chosen from the following courses:

The Economics of European integration

Global Economic Policy

The Legal Framework of EU Policies

Human Rights Protection in International and European Law

EU Democracy: the Normative Debate on E.U. Governance

International Security and Statebuilding

Development Economics

Applied International Economics (course of the Faculty of Economics)

Minority Rights

Comparative Constitutional Law of Groups and Minorities (course of the Faculty of Law)

European and International Labour Law

Advanced English Workshop

The Politics of International Development

Global Governance

Sociology of Globalization

China Studies

International History 

 

Students can also choose a different course. In this case a paper version of the Study Plan (from the download box on this page) has to be handed  in to the Meis Office for approval by the Degree Board by 30 November 2012.

Students intending to take a course at a partner University as part of an LLP-Erasmus or other international exchange programme must apply to the Degree Board for approval by filling in the paper version of the Study Plan (from the download box on this page) and presenting it to the MEIS Office. In this case the Study Plan can be handed in after the deadline.

 

 

Second Year students have to choose:

one course from “The Economics of European integration”  and “Global Economic Policy”,

one course from “The Legal framework of EU Policies” and “Human Rights Protection in International and European Law”,

one course from “EU Democracy: the Normative Debate on E.U. Governance” and “International Security and Statebuilding”.

 

Students who enrolled  starting from the a.y. 2011/12 have to pass a total of 18 credits from elective courses. Students of the second year who have passed in the first year 6 credits from elective courses have to choose two elective courses worth 6 credits.

The elective courses should be relevant to the chosen programme of study. These courses can be chosen from the following courses:

In addition, all international students enrolled in the first year of MEIS starting from the a.y.  2010/11  need to achieve a reasonable level of fluency in Italian in order to gradutate (A2).
