How to apply
In order to apply to ISTG, students must be enrolled to the MEIS (first year) and subsequently pass a selection among the students enrolled to the MEIS organised at the beginning of the spring semester of the first year. Enrolment to the MEIS does not automatically imply the possibility to enroll to ISTG.
Candidates for admission to the MEIS must satisfy the following requirements:
- A three- or four-year bachelor’s degree (180 credits) awarded in Italy, or other qualification recognised as equivalent awarded abroad, which includes the equivalent of at least 60 course credits from at least two of the following scientific areas: History and Philosophy, Economics, Law, Political science, Sociology or Foreign Languages. Candidates must have graduated by 30 September 2011 if their degree is gained in Italy or another member State of the European Union, or by 31 July 2011 if it is awarded in a non-EU country.
- Good knowledge of the English language (starting from the a. y. 13-14: IELTS: band 6.0 - no band lower than 6.0-; TOEFL computer-based: score of 235 – or higher; TOEFL paper-based: score of 575 - or higher-; TOEFL internet-based: score of 93 - or higher). Candidates who have gained their degree from a university where the tuition takes place entirely in English are not required to produce an English Language certificate.
- Basic knowledge of a second foreign language from among those offered at the University of Trento
- A personal background with suitable professional vocational and academic experience related to the interdisciplinary nature of the degree course.
