How to reach Trento

by car
Trento can be reached along the A22 Brenner motorway and along the Brenner trunk road, the S.S.12 Abetone and Brenner. They are all named after the Brenner Pass, the border between Italy and Austria and Trentino's gateway to the north.
Trento can be also reached along the S.S.45 bis, Gardesana occidentale from Brescia and the Gardesana orientale from Verona; from Milan the S.S.42 to Tonale and Mendola; from Venice the S.S.47 of Valsugana; from Vicenza the S.S.46, all converge on Trento.

by plane
Trento can be reached from the Verona Airport (90 km), Venice Airport (153 km), Milan Linate Airport (224 km) and Milan Malpensa Airport (262 km). The airport of  Trento is currently used for touring planes only.

If you land in Verona, Valerio Catullo Airport
A Bus Shuttle connects Verona Airport with Verona Porta Nuova Railway Station. The bus leaves every 20 minutes from 6:35 A.M. to 11:35 P.M. The fare is 4,50 Euro one-way and the trip takes about 10 minutes.
From Verona Porta Nuova Station you can reach Trento by train. The trip takes about 1 hour and trains for Trento leave about every 2 hours. Find a detailed timetable at the home page of the German Railway, the Deutsche Bahn AG
A single ticket, covering both the bus and train journey, should be available at Verona Airport.

If you land in Venice, Marco Polo Airport
ATVO Bus Shuttle connects Venezia Airport with Venezia Mestre Railway Station. Click here to find the Bus Shuttle timetable. The fare is 2,50 Euro one-way and the trip takes about 25 minutes.
Bus ACTV N. 15 also connects Venezia Airport with Venezia Mestre Railway Station. Find here the Bus Shuttle timetable. The fare is 1,00 Euro one-way and the trip takes about 25 minutes.
From Venezia Mestre Station you can reach Trento by train. The trip takes about 2 hours and a half and trains for Trento leave about every 1 hour. Find a detailed timetable at the home page of the German Railway, the Deutsche Bahn AG.

If you land in Milan, Linate Airport
STARFLY operates an express bus from Linate Airport to Milan Central Station. The bus leaves from 6.05 a.m. to 11.45 p.m. every day, every 30 minutes. The fare will be 2,50 Euro one-way and the trip will take about 20 minutes.
From Milan Central Station you can reach Trento by train. The trip will take about 3 hours and trains for Trento leave about every 2 hours. Find a detailed timetable at the home page of the German Railway, the Deutsche Bahn AG.

If you land in Milan, Malpensa Airport
Malpensa Shuttle Air Pullman operates an express bus from Malpensa Airport to Milan Central Railway Station . Buses leave from 05.30 a.m. to 00.15 a.m. every day, every 20 minutes. The fare will be 5,00 Euro one-way and the trip will take about 1 hour.
Malpensa Bus Express operates an express bus from Malpensa Airport to Milan Central Railway Station . Buses leave from 06.35 a.m. to 11.35 p.m. every day / two buses every hour at 35' and 55'. The fare will be 5,50 Euro one-way and the trip will take about 1 hour.
Alternatively, Malpensa Shuttle Train connects Malpensa Airport with Cadorna Railway Station, in the center of Milan. Trains leave from lower-ground floor of  Terminal 1 (shuttle bus to Terminal 2) at 23 and 53 minutes past every hour from 5:53 A.M. to 21:53 A.M., with a travelling time of 40 minutes. The fare will be 9,00 Euro.
Cadorna Station is then connected with Milan Central Railway Station by the Undergorund (Green Line). It takes 5 train stops.

Trento has excellent express rail connections with all the major Italian cities and is directly connected to the European rail network through the Brenner Railway.
