Congress Objectives

Advanced ceramics are continuously delivering significant contributions to technical and economic progress in nearly all industry sectors.
Continuous improvement and innovation is required at all levels of the technology chain, from raw materials to serial production, to ensure competitiveness and to fulfil the increasing expectations. Also, in future, advanced ceramics is facing the ever lasting demands for higher performances, improved reliability and efficient cost level. It is important to recognize that innovation is less and less created in “isolated” surroundings but increasingly more in global networks including domain and application knowledge which is a high priority requirement for success in system technologies.

The Congress aims at gathering together international experts in the field of ceramic science and material modelling with representatives from research institutes and industry in order to enhance the communication between experimental materials research and computational work, to improve efficiency in several steps of the processing procedures and to predict the potential of new advanced materials under specific application conditions and for specific functionalities.
