CSEAR 2012 Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research

The annual CSEAR Conference will be held this year jointly by the Trento University Department of Computer and Management Sciences and the RIBES research group in Levico Terme, a spa town in Trentino, Northern Italy. The main objectives of the conference are to provide an opportunity for academics, PhD students and practitioners to come together to discuss their preliminary findings and full papers in a supportive and interactive atmosphere, and to further enhance the knowledge and research on social and environmental accounting and reporting.

Moreover because 2012 is the International Year of Co-operatives, the Fourth Italian CSEAR Conference will pay special attention to studies and research which deal with accounting and social and environmental accounting for co-operatives, social enterprises, Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
The conference will start on Thursday morning and finish around noon on Friday and will include plenary sessions with well-known key speakers and a variety of parallel sessions.
In addition to the conference, delegates and accompanying persons will be offered an interesting social program in our host location and a sightseeing tour of Trento. Trento is the main town in the Province of Trentino, a region not far from the Alpine Dolomites which has majestic mountains and numerous lakes, the biggest of which is Lake Garda. Trento is nationally considered a center for art and culture with a unique but distinguishing Renaissance air.

15 July 2012: Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts
31 August 2012: Submission date for final papers
