Welcome to the home page of the 8th Conference of the European Study Group on Cardiovascular Oscillations, ESGCO 2014, which will be held in Trento, Italy, in the beauty of the Dolomites mountains, on May 25-28, 2014.
The European Study Group on Cardiovascular Oscillations (ESGCO) aims at fostering interdisciplinary discussions among physicists, engineers, physiologists and clinicians about physiological states and transitions, regulatory mechanisms and clinical implications of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular oscillations in all their forms. The ESGCO meeting takes places every two years, and the 2014 meeting in Trento will follow the successful editions of 2010 in Berlin (Germany) and 2012 in Kazimierz Dolny (Poland).
We are planning an exciting conference dense of up to date contributions by keynote speakers and selected papers. Contributions are welcome from a variety of topics, including but not limited to: cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary and cerebrovascular interactions; baroreflex control; brain-heart interactions; cardiac arrhythmias; oscillations during anesthesia, sleep, and pregnancy; imaging; nonlinear and fractal dynamics; irreversibility, complexity, entropy; coupling, causality and directionality; multivariate and multiscale modeling; point process analysis; QT interval analysis; ballistocardiography and seismocardiography; smart devices.
We are glad to inform you that the Conference will obtain technical co-sponsorship from IEEE-EMBS, and the proceedings will be considered for possible inclusion in IEEE-Xplore and indicization in worldwide databases.In addition, a selected set of contributions will be published in an issue of the Journal Physiological Measurement (IF 2012: 1.496) pending regular peer-review process.
