About

The fifth International Symposium on Industrial Embedded Systems (SIES 2010) comes after the previous successful editions, held in Lausanne (Switzerland 2009), La Grande Motte (France 2008), Lisbon (Portugal 2007) and Antibes Juan-Les-Pins (France 2006).
The aim of the symposium is to bring together researchers and practitioners from industry and academia and provide them with a platform to report on recent developments, deployments, technology trends and research results, as well as initiatives related to embedded systems and their applications in a variety of industrial environments.

The symposium is driven in focus by those application domains that have had a considerable impact on the evolution of embedded systems, in terms of the required methodologies, supporting tools and the resulting technologies. Of particular interest are the areas of Systems-on-Chip (SoC) development, methodologies for design and verification, the design of networked systems, and original solutions for embedded applications in domains that range from industrial automation, automotive control and building management, which implement complex devices integrating sensor/actuator functionality.

The symposium consists of full paper presentations detailing state of the art results in the area of Industrial Embedded Systems. In addition, Work-in-Progress presentations, in the form of poster sessions, will provide early highlights on cutting edge work which will shape this research area in the years to come.

The symposium will be held in Trento, Italy, July 7-9 2010. Use the navigation links on the right to obtain more information, for the call for paper, important dates and author instructions.
