XXIII SILS Meeting
The Department of Physics of the University of Trento and the SILS, Italian Synchrotron Radiation Society are very glad to announce that the XXIII SILS Meeting will take place in Trento, between the 8 and the 10 of July 2015, at the Department of Humanities of the University of Trento.
The conference will include:
- plenary talks by leading scientists in the field of synchrotron radiation and free electron lasers
- a set of thematic microsymposia on hot topics
- an open session to be organized on the basis of received abstracts
- industrial presentations
- a lively poster session
- a rich social program including a welcome aperitif and a social dinner
This event is part of the Italian program in occasion of the International Year of Light and Light based technologies and will take place under the auspices of the Italian Physical Society.

Financial support to students and research fellows
To facilitate the participation of young people, SILS, Italian Synchrotron Radiation Society will grant a partial financial support to some of the students and research fellows that will present a contribution (oral or poster) at the Conference.
The support may cover:
- accommodation expenses (up to a maximum of euro 50,00/day for 2 days)
- travel expenses (maximum euro 200,00)
The grant will be provided, up to the limits of available funds, to applicants on the first come first served basis.
The grant may be requested by sending an e-mail to: presidente@synchrotron-radiation.it; the e-mailed message should contain:
- personal data
- affiliation
- title of submitted contribution
- costs estimates
Documented expenses (copies of receipts are mandatory) will be reimbursed at the Conference by SILS’s treasurer.

Young Reserchers Prizes
Thanks to the support of SPECS and MoLiRom, as previously annunced on the SILS webpage
Winners will have the opportunity to present their research during the first session of the Conference on Wednesday 8 July 2015 and will be awarded by a 1.000,00 euro prize.

Best poster award
SILS, Italian Synchrotron Radiation Society will award a best poster premium of euro 300,00, open to Ph.D. students or research fellows attending the Conference and presenting their contribution.
