Develop the talents of the young and foster their growth, in a welcoming, lively and stimulating university environment. Create a new cultural focal point in the city and for the city.
These are the objectives of the Collegio Clesio, a project promoted by the University of Trento, in cooperation with the Opera Universitaria and sponsored by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto.
The Collegio was inaugurated in October 2010. Its seat is located in the elegant building of the former Prepositura, in via Santa Margherita, in Trento, which was refurbished to be devoted to its original function: being a centre of cultural promotion.
The Collegio intends to offer to the most talented and motivated students the opportunity to access advanced training, within the framework of the University policies, which focus on the students and aim at quality.
The selected students benefit from a comfortable environment where to study: a very stimulating environment from the intellectual point of view. Freshmen, students enrolled in the master’s courses of the scientific and humanities areas will study and debate together, thus fostering an exchange of views and study topics, which forms the most favourable condition - as demonstrated by the best similar Italian and foreign institutions - to experience the university life in the richest and most beneficiary way, thanks to the opportunity to grow, through dialogue and exchange of experiences, in a stimulating and pluralistic environment.
The experience of the Collegio’s students will allow them to cultivate their talents and skills. The Collegio will guarantee the best conditions for them to enhance their academic studies, also through the participation in cultural events, interacting with external experts who will visit the Collegio throughout the academic year. They will have the opportunity to dialogue with professors and visiting professors who will organize meetings and seminars, and also through their interactions with their tutors.
In order continue to attend the Collegio the students are required to accomplish every year the pre-established number of Credits and to keep a good mean mark in the past exams.
During their study programme students are usually required to actively participate in the cultural events organised by the Collegio and to spend a study period abroad lasting at least 3 consecutive months.
