Travels and mobility
Doctoral students may spend study periods at other Italian or foreign universities or research institutions.
The Head's approval is required for study periods lasting up to six months; for longer periods, students need the approval of the Doctoral School Committee. Transfer periods should comply with the Travelling rules and regulations policy of the University of Trento and with any regulations laid down by financing bodies.
Before the travel period, Doctoral students should send or bring the authorisation request form (see download box) to the Secretariat of the Doctoral School.
At the end of the period, once back at the University of Trento, Doctoral students should hand in the reimbursement request form (see download box) to the Secretariat of the School, along with the original receipts and a certificate of participation issued by the school or conference, or similar declaration issued by the centre for which the request for travel allowance was made.
Any period spent abroad for study and research activities related to the Doctorate, gives Doctoral students the right to receive a 50% increase in their grant. In order to obtain the increase, contact the Secretariat of the Doctoral School before travelling.
