Topic-specific grant - 33° Cycle

The PhD research program will investigate Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Humanoid Robotics from a multidisciplinary perspective. It will be focused on both legal and ethical sides, dealing also with the impact of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics , and Humanoids on society.

The selected PhD student, in collaboration with teams  of Robotics,  Nanotechnology and Machine Learning at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Genova) and with the BioLaw project at the Law School (University of Trento), will have to set up an advanced analysis and feasible patterns of the legal, regulatory and ethical frameworks of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Humanoid Robotics. 

Skills (partially required and partially to be acquired during the research work period):

We look for a candidate strongly motivated in multidisciplinary research, with interest both in law and ethics.

An excellent knowledge of English and Italian is required, as well as availability to travel and work in joint assignment at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and Biolaw project. Documented international experience and a track record in law and life sciences, biolaw and ethics will be taken into consideration.
