The first year training programme is the same for all PhD candidates, regardless of their area of specialization. 

From the second year on, the programme varies based on the chosen area of specialization, with seminars and short courses. 

In the second and third year of study, PhD candidates are required to take part of their studies abroad (at least 6 months, in one or more periods), undertake individual study, work on their final thesis. For further information see:
