Michele Bernini

Michele Bernini received his PhD in International Studies (with distinction) in January 2014 majoring in International Economics. His thesis investigated from an empirical perspective the relationship between financial factors and firm export behaviour. During his PhD he spent periods as a visiting researcher at the University of Nottingham and at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis. He presented his works at international conferences and workshops.
He has recently joined a permanent position of Research Fellow at the National Institute of Economics and Social Research (NIESC) in London. He previously was a Research Associate at the Department of Economics of the University of Sheffield.
He has trained as a micro econometrician and his research interests include the analysis of firm behaviour in the global economy, and the use of quantitative methodologies for public policy evaluation.
