Marinko Bobić received his PhD in International Studies in April 2016 examining under what conditions minor powers choose to engage major powers in an asymmetric conflict, focusing specifically on the post Cold War period.His areas of expertise are geopolitics and international security, including organised crime, terrorism, human security, and interstate conflict. He also holds an MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy (Leiden University, Netherlands) and a BA in Political Science (Simon Fraser University, Canada). Marinko is a contributing analyst and supervisor for Wikistrat, a private consulting firm, but he has also worked for the Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and several NGOs. He has published a book on Russian territorial disputes, an article on transnational organised crime - terrorism nexus, several book chapters and numerous media articles.
