Serangeli Irene

Irene Serangeli is a PhD student at the School of International Studies, University of Trento. Her area of expertise is asylum and migration law, and her current research focuses on the externalization of the EU asylum policy and its implications under the Geneva Convention. She completed with honours a MA (five-years programme) at the Law Faculty of the University of Trento with a thesis on International and European Asylum Law. She has worked as a legal advisor for the Jesuit Refugees Service and as Child Protection Expert for UNHCR, where she had specific responsibility for the protection of children on the move.
