David Marcel SIP

David Marcel Sip is a PhD student at the School of International Studies, University of Trento. His dissertation analyses Iranian proxy wars from 1979 till 2019.  Before enrolling in the program, he was a lecturer for the International Studies program at Leiden University. He received his M.A. from Leiden University and his B.A. Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. He has published on Iranian foreign policy, the role of the revolutionary guards and women in Al-Qaeda. In addition, he works on the Middle East in the interwar years--especially on nationalist ideas and military reforms.
