Stefano Vaona

Stefano Vaona is a legal advisor in matters concerning competition law and regulated network industries (Gas and Electricity) with the European Institutions.
In February 2014 he has been awarded with a Ph.D. (Honours) in Union Law at the School of International Studies at the University of Trento. His dissertation examined the procedural incentives in the exercise of the right to damages for infringement of competition at the level of the Union, and at Member State level in Italy and England and Wales. The study further reviewed the experience gathered in the US to offer policy advice to the legislature.
Stefano has also worked with international law firms, and holds an LL.M. in competition law - Honours -(King's College London), an LL.M. in Union Law (University of Trento), and two degrees in law (University of Trento and Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha).
His main research interests are in Union Law, Union Competition Law, and Regulated Network Industries.
