Andrea Betti works as Assistant Professor Theory of International Relations at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid). He holds a PhD in International Studies from the School of International Studies, University of Trento with a dissertation on the domestic response of states to international law. He holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Relations, both from University of Bologna. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles as an exchange student. He has conducted research as Visiting Fellow at the University of Westminster, London and at the University of California, Washington DC Center. His main interest is in theory of international relations with a particular focus on the domestic determinants of state response to international norms and institutions, including human rights enforcement, responsibility to protect, and international jurisdictions.
