Number of 4-year-scholarhips: 4, funded as follows:

• 2 grants funded by the University of Trento;
• 1 grant financed by the Istituto per la promozione dello sviluppo economico della Camera di commercio di Bolzano, on the topic "How can the small business-based economy of regions like South Tyrol and Trentino achieve structural change towards sustainable and carbon-neutral development while maintaining their competitiveness?";
• 1 grant financed by the Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (CONSOB), on the topic "ESG Modelling: Challenges and Opportunities".

Number of Supernumerary positions: n. 1 (reserved to candidates fulfilling the requirements stated by art. 18, par. 3 of the University Regulations regarding PhD Programmes).

How to apply

Application online: available starting from August 3, 2023.

Application’s deadline to participate in the selection: September 6, 2023, 16:00 (Italian time).

Candidates are warmly recommended to submit their application in advance. The University shall not be considered responsible for any dysfunctions due to technical problems and/or overload of the communication line and/or of the OS, for the loss of communication due to incorrect address details or late communication about possible change of address of the candidates, or for any other problem and delay due to third parties, unexpected cases or circumstances beyond one’s control.

Candidates who wish to assert their requirements for supernumerary positions (see art. 8 of the Call) shall request, by submission of appropriate documentation proving their status to the PhD Office - Cognitive, Social Sciences and Humanities (email: phd.office-cssh [at] unit.it) their acceptance of such admission not later than September 30, 2023.

Amendment on this webpage on 26 May, 2023.

The amendment only applies to the PhD Programme in Sustainability: Economics, Environment, Management and Society (SUSTEEMS) and adds the following details: MUR identification code and Unique Project Code in relation to the scholarship offered by Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) - Istituto di Ricerca sulla Crescita Economica Sostenibile (IRCrES), on the following topic “Science, technology and innovation for sustainable development”.
