Call for Expression of Interest - Marie Sklodowska - Curie Individual Fellowships

The University of Trento (Italy) welcomes expressions of interest from excellent international postdoctoral researchers interested in applying to the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship.with a research project to be carried out in Trento. 
The Marie Skłodowska Curie Action is a funding scheme that supports the mobility of researchers. Individual Fellowships (IF) may last 12-24 months and involve a research project, advanced training and knowledge exchange at the host institution. It offers a competitive salary, mobility and family allowances plus a budget for research and training costs. Applicants are expected to have an excellent CV and a strong publication record.
Selected candidates will be offered both academic and administrative support from the Research Office of the University to develop their proposal.

Seal of Excellence MSCA action 

The internal call for Expressions of Interest – MSCA IF - Seal of Excellence is promoted within the framework of the 2017-2021 University Strategic Plan initiatives aimed at strengthening the autonomy and independence of young researchers.
The Seal of Excellence is a quality label awarded to project proposals submitted to Horizon 2020 - MSCA to help these proposals find alternative funding. 
The selection will offer researchers who have submitted a project to the MSCA - IF call 2019 with UniTrento as host institution and have been awarded with the Seal of Excellence with a minimun score of 90, one year grant (12 months) at UniTrento (in the Department/Center identified in the proposal). The one-year felowship will be aimed at implementing the research activity related to the previously submitted MSCA-IF project and to further improve it in order to re-apply with UniTrento as host institution to the next MSCA- IF 2020 call.

MSCA+1

In order to promote the career development of young researchers, the University of Trento offers UniTrento MSCA-IF fellows at UniTrento the funding of one additional contract year (12 months) at the same/different Department/Center. The action aims to allow UniTrento MSCA-IF fellows, who have obtained a positive evaluation of the activities and results of the MSCA-IF project from the relative Department, to continue and to further develop the MSCA-IF project research activity in order to prepare and submit: 
- an ERC project proposal with UniTrento acting as Host Institution or, alternatively, 
- a project proposal in the framework of national and international competitive research calls (either as coordinator or as partner).
The 2020 selection is addressed to MSCA-IF UniTrento fellows whose research grant contract expires no later than 31 December 2020.

Research fellowships and collaborations

Research fellowships are designed to attract qualified academics, who have a masters or doctoral degree and the required experience to lead a University research project or carry out their own.
Besides, from time to time, the departments also recruit research collaborators as scientific coordinators within international projects.
