Doctoral scholarships

Additional fully-funded doctoral positions at the University of Trento are available for the next academic year, thanks to recent major investments in research by the programme Next Generation EU.

18 doctoral scholarships for the implementation of projects on the following topics:

  • Cognitive Science;
  • Sociology and Social Research;
  • Comparative and European legal studies;
  • International studies;
  • Sustainability: Economics, Environment, Management and Society (SUSTEEMS).

Mission 4, component 1 “From Research to Business”; Investment 3.3 “Introduction of innovative doctorates that respond to the innovation needs of businesses and promote the recruitment of researchers by the companies”

37 doctoral scholarships co-funded by companies for the implementation of the projects aiming at the enhancement of high-profile skills, especially in the areas of Key Enabling Technologies

to be awarded in the context of the following Doctorates of the 38th cycle:

  • Physics;
  • Information Engineering and Computer Science;
  • Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering;
  • Industrial Innovation;
  • Materials, Mechatronics and Systems Engineering;
  • Biomolecular Sciences

All the scholarships financed by the Ministerial Decrees n° 351 and n° 352 have reserved research topics and require carrying out of training experiences also at external structures (companies, research centers, public administrations) as well as periods of study and research abroad, with an objective of international doctoral training linked to the society and the economic and manufacturing world.

National Doctoral Programme in Space Science and Technology (SST)

The University of Trento establishes the new National Doctoral Programme in Space Science and Technology (SST) supported by 19 Universities and 7 Research Institutions.
