Curriculum 1 - Observation of the Universe

This curriculum consists of educational and research training programs in a rapidly evolving research area, in which open problems of astrophysics, cosmology and particle physics interface with space programs, involving the design of new observational techniques, new instrumentation, and developments in data analysis and theoretical modeling.

Being multidisciplinary and associated with the large number of space missions, the curriculum has the goal to train sufficiently broad skills, dealing with detectors that observe the electromagnetic spectrum and the different components of cosmic particles (protons, nuclei, electrons, antimatter, photons, neutrinos) down to the highest energies, as well as gravitational waves from compact and cosmological objects.

Details about funded positions for each Cycle are listed in the Menu.
