Fields of research:

  • 3D Printing/ Additive Manufacturing (Multi-Jet Printing Process, Binder-Jetting Process, Selective Laser Sintering/ Selective Laser Melting).

  • 3D Printing of Composites (Cements, Inorganic Materials, Ceramic Composites, Ceramic-Metal Composites).

  • Powder Flowability, Binder Flow Analysis, SLM Melt Pool and Marangoni Flow Analysis.

  • In-Process and Post-Process Phase and Chemical Changes in Additively Manufactured Articles.

Current employment (if any) or main job experiences:

  • Research Assistant, University of Trento, Trento, Italy (from December 2017 to Date). Working on Additive Manufacturing/ 3D Printing (Multi-Jet Printing, Binder Jetting) of Inorganic Materials. Thesis Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Vincenzo M. Sglavo.

  • Research Assistant, China-Germany Joint Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing, China (from 1 April 2016 to November 2017). Worked on 3D Printing/Additive manufacturing particularly selective laser melting and selective laser sintering for ceramics and composite materials. Thesis Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Liu TingTing (Director, China-Germany Joint Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, Nanjing University of Science and Technology(NJUST), Nanjing, China).

  • Visiting Instructor, Government Technology Training Institute, Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan (from March 2014 to July 2014). Worked as an instructor for technology students enrolled in the 2-year diploma program(Higher Secondary level). It was part of my job to give lectures on various aspects of technology and demonstrate them laboratory experiments.

  • Project Internee, Machine Design Section, Instrumentation Computer Control Complex (ICCC), H-8 Islamabad, Pakistan (From June 2012 to July 2013 part-time). Worked on modelling, designing and manufacturing during final year project of “Design and Development of 3 DoF Haptic Device” offered by ICCC. Thesis Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Suleman Khan (Machine Design Section, Instrumentation Computer Control Complex (ICCC), Islamabad, Pakistan).

Future expectations:

  • To be recognized researcher in 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing within five years of my research career.
