Valeria Estefania Romano

Valeria Estefania Romano is a PhD student at the School of International Studies, University of Trento. Her research interests include international development and the environment, comparative policy analysis, policy evaluation and indigenous participation. More specifically, she is interested in assessing the social effects and sustainability of community-based natural resource management models in Latin America. She received her MSc in Anthropology and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and her B.A in International Relations from Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Both with honors. During her undergraduate studies, she was an exchange student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Valeria has previously worked in the public, private and third sectors, holding different research, policy analysis and project management positions. She has also held academic positions at different Universities in Ecuador, her hometown.
